    If you're a gamer who finds that modern FPS are too easy and want a challenge pick up Serious Sam HD. Mixing challenging encounters with interesting boss fights you really can't go wrong. It can be found on Steam or purchased off of XBLA for 1,200 Microsoft points when it hits those respective services later this month. Read more

    You won't find much that's new in Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, but this is one of those pure arcade thrill rides that can feel as old as time and still be an absolute blast to play. It might not be the most essential shooter of 2010 for the 360, especially if you played the original game on the PC way back when, although you will certainly have a blast with it if you appreciate mile-a-minute shoot-'em-ups.     Serious Sam landed on PC back in 2001 and was later followed by a version on the original Xbox. Even back then the game had a crazy retro feel to it which helped make it somewhat of a success. From the design of the enemies and the huge battles the only thing serious about the game was the title.     Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter for the Xbox 360 is a return of a classic. It may seem a little dated by some, but I personally believe that for both newcomers and nostalgic gamers like myself, the HD remake that is now available still provides a wonderful experience in terms of both speed and adrenaline pumping action.     The best throwback of a throwback game ive ever played. But in all "Seriousness" this game is great forget perks cover systems etc this game reminds us of what was lost a few years back a game about pure fun that is actually fun and doesnt just stand on the title of fun as a point of view or in theory.
