If Rock Revolution came out two or three years ago, it might have been revolutionary, but in 2008, it's not even relevant. Uninspired presentation, a tiny tracklist that includes no master tracks, a complete lack of vocal support, uninteresting gameplay, and a barebones Career mode are just a few of the many ways in with Rock Revolution fails. Guitar Hero was good. That is a fact. Guitar Hero 2 was better, everything was refined and Harmonix had started to learn the importance of using original tracks for the game, not some, arguably-decent-but-still-not-the-real-thing, covers. By number three all the tracks were original, and nowadays both Guitar Hero and Rock Band exclusively use orinigal masters on all their tracks. I needed to replace My original Rock band drums, which my 5 yr old broke by using the drums as a ladder. Sadly no one sells rock band drums less than 50 dollars, and Rock band 2 drums were a bit more expensive that that . This deal satisfied the drum need and threw in a game for free. Keep in mind, paid $8.96 for the game and drum set... My take is this - This game really isn't bad, just isn't as good as it's competitors. Start with the drum set, I'd read nothing but bad things about it. I have to say, I disagree with all of them. The set feels tough, works well, and has one feature that I really like...
