See less2 Comments It's a funny old thing, realism in games. We're never quite sure whether we want more or less of it - after all, a Call of Duty game that opens with a boot polishing and bed making level set in the barracks probably wouldn't go down too well. Read more
RacePro excels in providing a deep experience without sacrificing accessibility, and it has one of the most realistic physics models of any console racer yet. Ultimately, RacePro succeeds in making a hardcore racer accessible to the masses, but the unwelcoming menu system and workmanlike graphics mean that the package as a whole just falls short of the mark. But if you're looking for an incredibly realistic racing game that puts the cars before everything else, then it's... Read more
Race Pro is certainly a game designed for those hardcore race fans. Akin to Forza 2 in many respects the game falls short of greatness by its very linear design and lacking multiplayer. However even with its flaws anyone looking for a realistic racing sim should not pass up this game, as it is certainly one of the most immersive racing games I've played, but don't expect to fill too many hours of your day. If you're going to release a new racing game that promises to set the mould, you should really try and have the goods to back it up. Atari's new baby Race Pro takes two steps backwards by having dated graphics and very little to recommend it over older, better racing games. Read more
A drab but accomplished simulator, and one that will be relished online. Read more
this is a good racing sim but does get quite boring quickly, the handling of the cars are the most realistic of any sim on any of the consoles so if you like real sims this is for you! Read more
I have gotten this product day after may birthday. Since that time I could not put this game down. I love race games especially when they have the AI alot harder and tougher to get by. It makes me very determine to get by them at a better location on the track. I want to try online racing with this game. I haven't be so excited to play online until I have gotten this game. I want to know how far behind I get left when competing with others.(LOL) I would recommend this... Read more
If you're a hardcore fan of racing sims, this one belongs in the XBOX collection for the simple reason that Simbin hits driving physics dead on. That said, that may be the only thing going for this game. Without the graphics, sound and presentation, most arm chair racers are going to find it a raw experience, and that may be good or bad. The weather effects are nice, but the cockpit view becomes unusable. The car damage model seems to have no underlying logic or proper... Read more
Fun: This review is from: Race Pro (Xbox 360) (Video Game) I honestly can't believe that this is the same game people are giving good reviews of. This is singularly the WORST racer ever. Someone had the nerve to say there are 'AI' opponents. This would imply that they were Artificial Intelegence (hence 'AI'). If you call the computer opponents intelegent if they stick to the racing line and do not move off it, take every corner perfectly and seem to be stuck to the... Read more
Summary: Overall this game feels like it should offer up a lot more and is way off the mark for me Read more
