Review Summary
The game Pimp My Ride is about how these characters in the game turn a beat-up old car into a stunning new one. This game has a few resemblances from the TV show, like the same sense of humor is included in this game. If only the game was well-acted and perfectly scripted then it would have made a difference but unfortunately in this case everything falls flat. Players will just spend most of the game driving around which looks silly by having players from one end of the tiny world to the other or players could be doing rhythm-action stuff which only happens when player are upgrading their car. By pimping it out to the crowd of Pimp City or "Ghost Riding the Whip", where their car will roll along really slowly and at the same time players will do some kind of silly dance alongside the car. Fans of this popular MTV series would probably be the only ones with the patience to play this game. Many reviewers agree that the models, the engine and even the non-existing storyline are nothing to boost about. Much to the disappointment of players, no multiplayer mode is available. Some reviewers even thought out the fact that the developers of this game weren’t thinking much while creating it. A particular reviewer was quoted saying that he yawned so much playing this, he practically pulled muscles in his jaw.

Inform him that Mr X-biscuit (Xzibit! - Ed) of MTV fame presents a voyeuristically-humorous show where a group of pro-active musicians with an engineering bent take beat-up old jalopies and turn them into works of art to challenge that of Mondrian or Duchamp (sarcasm). It's pretty clear that Pimp My Ride is not aimed at us. And by "us" I mean "people who have at least a basic understanding of what makes a good game". It's the equivalent of a movie like Norbit or a TV show like...well, like Pimp My Ride.
