Ninety-Nine Nights is a game where players battle hundreds of foes simultaneously. The game has seven different characters with different play styles, but gamers start with a character named Inphyy, which is the first unlocked character at the beginning. Successfully completing each character’s story will unlock one or two new characters, until they have all been revealed. After completing levels in Ninety-Nine Nights, a player’s performance is scored, with both a letter grade and ‘points’ being awarded, depending on how well the player did. Points can be spent to unlock extras, such as concept art and character bios. The game’s objective is to gain levels and utilize performance-enhancing items which can be found in the different stages. As the characters gain levels they learn additional attack combinations, but there is no opportunity for skill customization. Some power-up feature on this game is the "Orb Attack"/"Orb Spark" element. Killing enemies yields red orbs that are stored up until the "Orb Attack" bar is full which can be unleashed by pressing B to enter "Orb Attack" mode. Enemies killed while in this mode drop blue, not red, orbs which can in turn. Once a player has stored up enough blue orbs (which usually requires several "Orb Attacks"), he or she can unleash a super-devastating, screen-clearing "Orb Spark" attack. Killing enemies yields the occasional equipment drop, which users can equip and time during a map as long as they are not retaliating from an attack, in midair, or in the middle of an attack. Each character in the game has their own unique attacks, weapons and orb attacks, as well having their own questline (of around four stages on average). Each level takes the form of a series of smaller battles which are often interspersed with cutscenes. These cutscenes are rendered using the in-game character models. Progress through levels and the game is mostly linear, with several objectives peppering each level.
See lessN3 is an action adventure with a storyline told through the missions of several different characters. The various stories in the game aren't supposed to make sense if you haven't played the other sections, although we had trouble making sense of what was going on having played all of them. Basics aren't explained, such as where this is set, who all these people are and so on. Read more
Overall I think Ninety-Nine Nights is a decent game. But while it may be next gen in the graphics department the game itself is very old skool, due to the fact that you’re just going from point A to B to C hacking and slashing through non-interactive environments. I still enjoyed it but underneath it all it’s not the greatest 360 title around. Read more
Ninety-Nine Nights isn’t the classic Xbox 360 game that it could have been. However after you get past the first impressions, you’ll have a game that is fun in a weird sort of way. Read more
Fantastic production values and a great concept let down by a lack of checkpoints, dull art direction and horribly repetitive, shallow gameplay. What a shamefully wasted opportunity. Read more
In addition to the single-player story mode, you can team up with a partner and play through a variety of online scenarios in which you must survive wave after wave of spawning foes, fight your way through a maze, and race to see who can eviscerate the most enemies. But the combat is no more capable of providing an enjoyable multiplayer experience than it is a decent single-player one. The concept of tossing you into massive battles against thousands of enemies is... Read more
You have 7 characters to play with and you have to unlock each 1 by beating it with some one else. also you have the same story from different points of view. It is a very fun and interesting game. You meet lots of different people and have alot of fun during your quests in this hack and slash game. If you have the time to look for everything then it will be worth the time. Read more

I would have to agree with kaluka, quite repetetive. If you've got a wireless controller your going to need to charge it first as you bash the button quite a lot. Not to bad though. Good for a couple of day. Gamertag: Skeck Read more
Fun: This review is from: Ninety Nine Nights (Xbox 360) (Video Game) I did not think much of this game at all. I thaught the graphics were poor and it repeats its self level after level. When i baught it it looked really good on the box but it did not live up to its level. Some other people might think this game is good but i dont think it is what is made out to be but it depends on what you like. Read more
N3II: Ninety-Nine Nights is a Dynasty Warriors spin-off. Dynasty Warriors has developed a very poor reputation over the last few years. Notice I didn't use any modifiers in that last sentence such as undeserved or unfair. Truth is Dynasty Warriors has a well deserved poor reputation. N3II does nothing to improve that. How bad is N3II? Try Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 bad. First of all, there is your primary "foe" the mooks. I put foe in quotes because these faceless clone... Read more
