See less1 Comments Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is made by much of the same team that brought us the original MK back in 1992. Their faithfulness to fun and accessible brawling still shines through, as does the developer's obvious respect for its cast of colourful and popular fighters. Read more
MK vs. DC is a great addition to the franchise. The story mode is pleasant surprise for a beat em up and the multiplayer is a blast. Player animation is good and the game never experiences any drop in framerate or tearing, plus the voice over and dialogue is fantastic. If you're a fan of this genre then this is a must buy game for you and will keep you occupied until the release of SFIV, but other gamers will love the single, but might find the multiplayer it have a... Beat 'em Up PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 Midway Midway 16+ Out Now 1-4 Many of us will have posed the question to friends of who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman or the Flash versus the Green Lantern? Merging video game tough nuts against comic book super heroes is a tried and tested formula. Firstly there was X-Men vs Street Fighter, which would later branch out with Marvel VS Capcom. Who could argue with a game that let Jill Valentine show Spiderman what for and had Ryu learning a thing or two about fighting from Hulk? It's been a while since the two formats clashed fists and super powers in video game form, so when gore-fest beat-em-up Mortal Kombat declared war on... Read more
I particularly liked the animation where, when the finishing blow is a kick in the shins or something similar, the opponent jerks back a bit, takes a couple of frames of animation as though he's about to fight back and then suddenly falls backwards. That wasn't even 1992 standards! Does look purdy in some places though. And agree, MK is best played with a stick. But then the game also has to work with it's basic controls, same as a racing game is almost always better... Read more
I was sceptical about this game at first as this kind of mash-up between franchises normally don't go well. But this Game is a solid fighter that i would recommend to anyone who enjoys Mortal Kombat despite the lack of Blood or too anyone who enjoys fighters in general Read more
I was all hype about purchasing this game when I first heard about its arrival. I was expecting a much better display of gameplay than that which was produced. It has great graphics, interesting attacks, and realistic stages. It was too much of a rush job over all and needs alot more tweaking in my opinion. It's great to have if your collecting Mortal Kombat games, but I personally wouldn't recommend buying it. Read more
Summary: Not a brilliant game but if you are looking for a challenge then by all means buy this game. Read more
