Furthermore, there are additional stand-alone missions to take on, most of which are designed well and are enjoyable to tackle; a trivia game that will test your Marvel comics knowledge; and lots of costumes, audio discs, and dossiers to collect. So while Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 may not take the series in a... Read more
The Marvel Universe is being torn apart. The Superhuman Registration Act becomes law and Super Heroes must register as weapons of mass destruction, becoming licensed government agents. As Civil War is stirred, Iron Man leads the Pro-Registration side while Captain America spearheads the stand on Anti-Registration. The enemies you battle and the missions you accomplish depend on which side you choose! Read more
We've come to expect a good superhero game every now and then, but two in as many months? That's about as plausible as Bruce Banner's trousers surviving his transformation into Hulk. Read more
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is a fun game to play, anyone who likes their superheroes will certainly have great fun playing through, especially in co-op mode with friends. It may not be the most polished game in the world, however what it lacks in looks it makes up for in action. Anyone looking for a decent co-op game should at least give this title some consideration, because at the end of the day it isn’t too bad. Read more
Vicarious Visions takes over development duties in the latest Ultimate Alliance. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, the sequel to 2006’s Ultimate Alliance, takes place during the Civil War period of the comics. In case you are unfamiliar with the comics, the Civil War doesn’t refer to the American Civil War but rather the 2006 crossover event written by Mark Millar. In the storyline, focus on the Superhuman Registration Act, which was passed after a superhero-related event... Read more
I really wanted to love this game. After playing Batman, I really really wanted to love this game. But...after putting about 6 hrs worth of work, I like it enough. MUA II is pretty much the same game we have played since X Men Legends for PS2. That's not to say that it's a bad thing but after 6 years and four games, the formula hasn't changed all that much. So this time around for all of you Marvel-heads that have kept up, the Civil War story line gets played out in this... Read more
its very fun to play, i didnt play the first one, so i said i will give it a try. i have play it with my cousin since then trying all the combinations posible on the game. the controls are easy to use, even with multiplayer. the bad is that from the first to the last mission you always do the same. and the camera sometimes annoys since it places on a box or an invisable wall or something but after you get over it you really enjoy this game. As a fan of comics i am always looking for a great comic based game . To bad marvel can't get games right . Batman is the comic game to top. I Think the first Ultimate aliance is right behind batman when it comes to great comic games. Part 2 realy disapointed me , part 2 took ten steps backwards in my opinion . part 2 is kind of a drag . i also think for playing on ps3 and xbox that video game makers need to loose that over the top view double dragon style cheesy game... A great, fun game to buy but as with all games of this genre, the game becomes very much of the same the longer you play. You find four heroes that you are comfortable with and play through the game without any thrills or excitement. For those die hard Marvel fans, I am sure you will enjoy but for gamers that enjoy a bit more of a challenge, it was distinctly average Read more
Originally, I had posted a review about this game about a month ago, talking about how disappointed I was in it because Activision had removed the downloadable content for it, which was basically an add-on that added five new characters to the game: Carnage, Black Panther, Magneto, Psylocke, and Cable. I still had given the game's fun factor a high rating because even without the DLC, the game was just plain fun, the way a video game should be. Despite this however, I... Read more
