Fast-paced multiplayer with a dash of strategic depth gets Madballs rolling, but stuttering visuals and lag issues may bring your fun to a screeching halt. Thanks to a significant patch, the visual stuttering and lag issues described in the review are no longer present. Babo: Invasion also looks quite nice visually for an Xbox Live Arcade title, with a range of bright colours on screen and particle effects to keep things looking vibrant. There's often lots of action displayed on-screen (particularly in multiplayer), and while the game does manage to avoid this becoming confusing, there are the occasional framerate hiccups. Still, it's a minor issue which doesn't get in the way of an enjoyable game. Read more

Madballs in Babo: Invasion is certainly well worth the 800MS points that you are asked to spent out to purchase it, there is no doubt that it is one of the most annoyingly addictive multiplayer games on Xbox Live Arcade, therefore if you are looking for a game which you can switch on for a quick burst and lose yourself in then you won’t go wrong with this title. Multiplayer support comes in the form of deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag modes. There's also an Avatar deathmatch mode where the Madballs are replaced by the players' Avatar's heads. The balls and weapons available are unlocked through play, so if you skip the campaign and go right to multiplayer you'll be at a bit of a disadvantage. Multiplayer play is fast, as the balls can really scoot and there's a lot of bouncing off of obstructions and each other.... Read more
