Episode Two is a continuation of the Half-Life 2 story, with lots of action. The Orange Box depicts the story of a woman who wakes up in a tiny box inside some lab facility run by a mysterious company called Aperture Science. You have a portal that enables you to walk out of one room into another. You will be introduced to portals and gun which you will use to fire portals onto walls, ceilings, and floors. The fire buttons are used to create blue and orange portals. The female voice dialogue may direct or misdirect you, so before doing anything you have to think well. Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer shooter in which the red team deals with the blue team. There are six maps in the game, each with its own focus. These are six tough puzzles from the main game, challenges and time limit to complete the level, the number of portals to use, or the number of steps to take. The advanced puzzles are hard bur not unsolvable. Bronze, silver, and gold medals are awarded for each of the three challenge types across six levels. Reviewers finds The Orange Box to be a great package which guarantees satisfaction as there’ll surely be at least one thing gamers will like in this collection, if not all of it.
See lessIn a world where your usual new release's recommended retail price is £50 and every great leap in graphical prowess seems to lop another few hours off their length, it's a refreshing change to be able to say that Valve are being really, really good to you. Not content with remastering the PC's best ever FPS for 360, they're also packing in two supremely addictive mods in the form of bizarre but compulsive puzzler Portal and Team Fortress 2's insanely violent cartoon... Play it, and keep playing it until you reach the end because it's a pointless exercise trying to make you understand why this game is brilliant until you do, and if you reach the end and still don't think it's brilliant, then you need a new hobby. If you do "get it", you'll probably have a tiny tear in your eye that it's over (it's pretty short but at least once done you can take part in the advanced challenges, a set of levels even more punishing than those in the... When looking at the overall score given to The Orange Box, you need to think about whether it applies to you. If you own an Xbox 360 or a serviceable PC then reduce the score by 2, as the technical problems and glitches here make this the worst version of the three available. However, if you don't have access to a 360 or PC then the score is for you - on any platform, this is one of the best deals in gaming history, with all five parts of the compilation making for the... I'm rather late to the Portal party. The guests have left and there's no sign of any cake. But by all accounts, it was some party. Portal managed to make numerous game-of-the-year (2007) lists, despite being a supposedly minor addition to Valve's Orange Box collection. While the first-person shooter Half Life 2 was top of the billing - and it did, justifiably, receive a huge amount of critical acclaim in its own right - Portal used the exact same game engine to a very... Just buy this game, ok? Half Life 2, both Episodes, and Portal are all amazing. Team Fortress 2, I haven't really touched, as I'm not interested in it very much, so can't comment on that. The rest of the package is well worth it though, and at the moment, it's selling brand new for under £20. If you buy this because of my review, you will thank me very much. I don't recommend rubbish games. Read more
