Sometimes it's unavoidable ( FIFA and PES , God of War and Devil May Cry , every JRPG and Final Fantasy), and the latest Guitar Hero has been compared to Harmonix's Rock Band throughout our play through. The comparisons have been inevitable ever since Neversoft announced they were throwing a drum kit and microphone into the mix (an announcement which came the same week as Rock Band... Read more
2 Comments The Smashing Pumpkins beat me. I was one tier away from GHIII mastery on Hard mode. It was the last guitar solo; my fingers were so wearied I couldn't chain notes together fast enough. I stayed in Medium after that, never satisfied due to its easiness, but never capable enough to take on Hard. I'd hit a brick wall. Read more
Guitar Hero: World Tour is a worthy successor to the previous instalments. Neversoft have clearly worked hard to keep the ambience of previous GH games and also advance it to be a competitor to Harmonix' Rock Band 2. Both these aims have been wonderfully achieved, and the game is a wonder to play however when it stands alongside RB2 it looks shallow and limited. Ultimately however the game appeals on different wavelengths, GH:WT felt more like a challenge and it was... Read more
I've enjoyed Guitar Hero: World Tour as it's stepped up to my expectations from a guitar playing fans point of view. If the next version has a track list to die for I'd say that'll be the come back of all come backs to really rock my world. I remain content to play World Tour until then and hone my rocking prowess with new found tapping powers. Read more
As a game on it's own to be used with your existing equipment World Tour offers plenty of new features and a robust track list but when paired with it's new guitars and drum kit it becomes much more. I was sold the very first time I played the drums and that alone is worth the price of admission for me. Guitar Hero is back at the top of my list and I'm a very happy rock bunny. Read more
a good follow up to guitar hero 3. much longer career mode with lots more songs, some of which are very difficult which is good. gets a bit tedious after a while but is a great laugh if playing with your friends. Obviously the inclusion of the other instruments makes this game 10x better than it would have been if it was just the guitar. cool extra features such as creating your own character and recording your own songs is great. however the online play isn't very... Fun: This review is from: Guitar Hero World Tour - Game Only (Xbox 360) (Video Game) I've played this game several times the last days and i am enjoying it evry moment. A friend also has this game and he brought his guitar to my house and played with 4 friends in 1 band and that is so fun. Normaly i play games like Call of Duty or Halo so i am a really shooting fan, but as a shooters fan i also was happy with this music game. If you are thinking of to buy a music-game... Read more
Really, and I mean *really* fun. I haven't tried Rock Band/2 so I can't comment on differences between the two, but honestly I see no need to switch. Read more
Game is pretty cool. Had to exchange it twice just to get working drum set because it seemed buggy and played notes by itself but in the end it was worth it! Game is a blast with much longer list of songs than previous guitar hero games and way better songs as well. Combined with dlc songs which are pretty cool too ($2 a piece) you will not be bored for a long time. Difficulty is a lot lower than in previous games so you might actually want to start with this game as I... Read more
Summary: A decent game, would recommend for people with all of the equipment but still good once in a while. Read more
