This action game lets you follow the adventures of Niko Bellic, a war veteran from Bosnia. As with the other GTA games much game is fairly open.
The game features multiplayer and the possibility of downloading extra content exists.
GTA is usually one of the more brutal games on the market and this one is not an exception.

See lessSo anyway, to the crux of the matter. Yes it’s violent, slightly sexy - even nasty at times and gratuitously so, but let’s all just remember it’s a just a GAME, and a game that you miss to your detriment as a rounded gamer and normal member of society. GTA IV is quite simply another masterful piece of escapism and entertainment from Rockstar. I expect that many, many drinks will go cold, and meals and appointments will be missed thanks to it. The stonking... Read more
I have to admit that it’s not easy, sum it up about this GTA chapter. The title is certainly a very good game, but may leave to the series’ fans some bitter tasting, given the fact that it gets out of the binaries that made it famous. Acclaimed by the critics, that, IMHO, haven’t been able to deeply dig into this Rockstar’s game, GTA IV has grown just in some features and has decreased all the rest. The story is certainly its main character, seen that it’s got... Read more
But when your only real complaint is that a game has been lavished with so much attention that it's a bit on the long side, then it's fair to say that you must have a masterpiece in your hands, and that is most definitely the case with Grand Theft Auto IV. It's prettier, more detailed and more fun than ever before; it may have stuck to the same formula, but it's as effortlessly brilliant as ever. With a massive single player campaign (it tells you something that there's... Read more
The key thing with this game is that perfection really is in the details. For example, when I first played the game, I drove at a stupid speed down the road, crashed into the car infront and flew out of the windscreen into a passing pedestrian, who dropped his coffee and asked me to buy him a replacement. I think that this installment of GTA is definitely worth buying, and all of the elements included have been done much better than in the previous games. Saying this, I... Read more
So, some perspective then. Perhaps this review sounds overly negative. Liberty City is amazingly well designed. The game is stuffed to the gills with the series’ usual charm and irreverent sense of humour. The graphics, animation and sound are all first class. The voice-acting is great and despite its shortcomings, GTA IV is still a thoroughly enjoyable game. But when the flaws that have plagued the series since it made the move to three dimensions still have not been... Read more
Words can't describe how good this game is!!!!! You must buy!!!!! Read more
I was never a fan of GTA series. The sandbox style gameplay of being able to do anything, anywhere was strangely a turn off for me, as I tend to get lost easily and going from one end of the city to another to accomplish some minor task was simply too tedious. Too boot many of the previous GTA's I could simply not tolerate the message. I AM a believer that video games can influence players, though not a fanatic of the message and the messages from GTA 1-3 were not so... Read more
God how repetative and boring did this game go!!! After 1 hour of gaming i wanted to return the disc Glad i did not buy it and the online multi player is awful we expect more from rockstar and they have not delivered Read more
#12 Ya it is short, and no it was until 100% so i took the side missions as well, thats why i was so disaapointed with the game, with the hype surounding the game, and all the reviews giving it top score, i was sure i was in for a experience like with GTA SA, but nah it was a poor shell of a game, where you can see that they have put a lot into the mulitplayer instead of the single player game. All in all, a good game though to an extent a disappointing one. It can be difficult to get into, but it can be worth it if you stick it out, it's just a shame that it's lost out on part of it's soul (the ambulance and taxi missions weren't exactly my favorite missions, though I appreciated why they were there) as it could have appealed to the boys and the guys/men. Would I suggest buying it? Possibly not, maybe a rental then buy it if you really like it. Read more
