The main criticism though is the by-the-numbers gameplay, which adds little we haven't seen before, and while the styling is a nice departure, many will find the overly twee presentation a bit too sugary for their fighter tastes. Some would also argue that the small character roster is a bit stingy, although for my money it represents a level and tight playing field far removed from Arc System Works' shenanigans with the Hokuto no Ken licence. Battle Fantasia is a game by Arc System Works , the very same team behind the Guilty Gear series. Battle Fantasia was released ages before console version of Street Fighter IV in all other territories but here we get the game roughly two months later. I had fairly high hopes when I bought this game, being a long time fan of old and current JRPGs. I thought this was an interesting idea, creating a fighting game primarily marketed to JRPG fans, and thought it held alot of potential. I was very, very wrong in these beliefs. The voice acting, which is all in original Japanese, is absolutely horrible! I couldn't believe that the original Japanese on a game could be worse than some of the awful English dubings I've heard... Read more
