6 Comments You could say UTIII is something of an antique. A throwback to the days of endless, repetitive Deathmatches, it's a simple, lightning-fast shooter with few of the complexities of modern games. Read more
All in all the game offers a solid shooter, the campaign can last a good while but players won't really wont to play through again, unless they wish to clean up some of the achievements. The multiplayer is strong and will consume a good few hours of peoples time, Its one of these games that you can pick up and play for 10 -20 minutes and lay it down for a while. The huge let down was the removal of modifications, these would've extended the life a little longer than it... Read more
Probably, but so what? As good as Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Frontlines: Fuel of War and Team Fortress 2 are, Unreal Tournament III is the most intense and ridiculous of the bunch. What it lacks in terms of bold innovation, it more than makes up for in terms of raw playability and refined execution, and Epic has come up trumps with a fine conversion. Read more
So we were at Midway’s Gamers’ Day in Vegas and outside by the pool there were loads of 360s set up and running Unreal Tournament III, so we had a little go. And guess what? Fun: Unreal Tournament 3 is deathmatching the way it used to be. It's been so long since I played a game like this that I forgot they even exist. Let's get one thing straight right off the bat: UT3 is not Call of Duty; it is not Battlefield; it is not Halo, or Far Cry, or Rainbow Six. I'm a of many of those games, so please understand that I'm not denigrating the type of FPS that proliferates these days when I say Unreal Tournament 3 is very different, and all the more...
