The DSL-G624T is a wireless router suitable for home or office use. This device allows the sharing of broadband internet connection based on ADSL, ADSL2 or ADSL2+. As a result, several people can simultaneously browse the web, chat on-line or exchange files through the Internet and so much more. This router uses the auto-senses connection type and auto-negotiates for the modulation scheme with the help of the G.hs (handshake) protocol. The DSL-G624T includes a built-in with 802.11g Access Point supporting wireless speeds of up to 54Mbps and compatible with the 802.11b wireless devices on the 2.4GHz frequency band. It also provides four 10/100Mbps Ethernet switch ports for a ready connection to four of the workstations. These built-in functions works to save on cost and trouble of installing a separate wireless Access Point and an Ethernet switch. Besides that, the router provides firewall security using Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and the Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection. Access control is provided with packet filtering based on port and source/destination MAC/IP addresses. With Virtual Server Mapping, only the specific services on a local server, like web, FTP or games may be made accessible from the internet for security purposes. The device serves four inputs to experience smooth connectivity without suffering the effects of network congestion. This support for Quality of Service (QoS) allows lag-free transmission for applications such as VoIP, multimedia and on-line games over the Internet. This wireless router provides the necessary functions that a home or small office needs to establish a secure and high-speed link to the Internet.
