See lessEvery now and then, a game comes along that is entirely must-have for every owner of the platforms it is released on. Last holiday season, Nintendo struck that kind of chord with Super Mario Galaxy, and now, less than six months later, that feat has been repeated with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Its simple controls and gameplay make it remarkably accessible to beginners yet still appealing to Smash Bros. veterans. With the inclusion of mostly lag-free online play and the... Read more
Brawl has the most characters, is the best balanced, delivers the most and generally trumps both the other games so far. The graphics may not be that far in advance of Melee, but they never had to be in the first place - they looked good already. Brawl opens its arms wide to embrace both new and old players, the hook of familiar names and uncomplicated mechanics combining with a wide choice of control methods and a subtle depth for those who dig deeper. Where the series... Read more

Wii has absolutely outdone themselves with this game, when i first started it, i thought hmm this game could do with a few things and i didn't really get used to it straight away, and then day 2 came!! and it really blew me away, i hooked up my Wii to my cerwin vega speakers and the game came to life (might have been because of the speakers) but the music is good for the game not like the usual music you used to get on some adventure games, the story mode is 10/10 the... Smash Bros has always been a fun game and Brawl is no different. It's essentially more of the same but with some great additions such as online play, new items and moves, and a campaign mode. The single player campaign mode is a pretty good attempt at making a worthwhile single player mode in fighting games (We all know it's all about multiplayer). Online is an awesome addition but I found it to be pretty cruddy. There's basically no customization, limited options, and I... Read more

My family and I are Super Smash Bros. Addicts. We played the N64 version almost daily, and when Melee appeared we happily switched to it. So needless to say, when Brawl came out, I snapped it up. I even bought a Wii for its sake. I am so foolish for not renting it first. Something struck me as odd about it from day one, but I still played it daily, seeking to amass the entire roster and earn every trophy, sticker, and level. For a while, this manic pursuit hid many of... Read more
