Same problem as laptop users mentioned. We have a brand new Compaq desktop and Windows would not recognize the USB device and installation CD would freeze our computer after not installing the driver. Creative's web site didn't have a solution, nor did the rep that came with their 60 days of free telephone support, he said the camera was faulty and to exchange it. The Creative Live! Ultra webcam appears to be competing against Logitech's Quickcam Pro 4000. They have similar still photo resolution (1024x768 for the Live Ultra, 1280 x 960 for the Quickcam 4000). However, the Quickcam 4000 has a true 1.3 megapixel sensor, while the Live Ultra interpolates up from 640x480. As a result, I have found the Quickcam 4000 produces better still images.
