Among the operation controls that target to provide convenience to its users include Record/Pause control, Stop button, Rewind, A-B repeat, Forward and Play/Pause function. There are five recording modes that come together with the ICD-UX70. Each recording mode offers different recording time, depending on the choice of the mode that user intend to use. LP mode has 290 hours and 10 minutes of recording time whereas SP mode gives users 72 hours 30 minutes to record. As for STLP and STSP mode, the recording times are 48 hours 20 minutes and 18 hours 5 minutes respectively. Users can record up to 12 hours 5 minutes in ST mode. The recorder is equipped with 10mm inner speaker. It is compatible with Windows and Macintosh.
Not only function to record important lectures in detail or working as a voice journal, the ICD-UX70 by Sony can be used to playback and record MP3 files as well. With MP3 Stereo Recording and Playback feature, users are allowed to playback MP3 files up to 18 hours and record using MP3 file format. With it, they can listen to their favorite MP3 audio files while they are on the go. Digital Pitch Control and A-B repeat function lets users listen to their recording at slower than normal speed without distortion so that transcribing and editing is facilitated. Faster speed can be heard to move to desired portion of the recording is allowed with the feature as well. Selectable Microphone Sensitivity of high and low enables users to record different situation more effectively.
