Sony ICD-P620

Sony ICD-P620 is a digital voice recorder that is compatible with USB connectivity. The recorder that is suitable for important lectures, meetings and personal memo recordings is equipped with built-in speakers as well as microphone. It weighs 68g including batteries while the dimension of the device is set at 16mm x 103.5mm x 30mm. The recorder possesses built-in flash memory of 512MB. Its recording and playback times depend on the recording mode. HQ mode can play and record up to 59 hours 45 minutes, 159 hours 20 minutes for SP mode, whereas LP mode has recording and playback time of 261 hours 45 minutes. Users are offered four separate folders where organization of files is made possible. On its frequency range, SP and LP set at 8 kHz whereas HQ mode is 16 kHz. Among the operating system that compatibles with the ICD-P620, if PC connectivity is being used, include Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, XP Home, XP Professional, Vista Home Basic, Vista Home Premium and Vista Business Ultimate.

ICD-P620 by Sony that has PC Compatible via USB feature offered allows users to transfer recorded audio files to their PC for further processing or archiving. The built-in flash memory that is available on the integrated circuit chip in the recorder lets users overwrite recording with distortion-free clarity. There is Digital Voice Operated Recording (VOR) featured with the recorder where it automatically stops the recording during silent pauses and consequently begin recording again without losing a syllable, as manipulated by the digital buffer. In a way, it saves valuable recording time. With Selectable Microphone Sensitivity feature, users can choose high or low sensitivity to suit recording purpose in different situations more effectively. The LCD screen displays information that include battery power remaining, number of messages recorded, recording length, date as well as time. Clock is shown in 12 or 24 hour format, as selected.
