Sony ICD-B600 is equipped with 512MB built-in flash memory for recorded over and used again. It can record up to 300 hours in LP mode. The Voice Operated Recording (VOR) mode saves recording time. It stops the recording during silent pauses and begins recording again without missing a single syllable. It has three recording modes which allow users to choose the quality of recording depending on how much time is needed. The recording modes are LP Mode with 301hours 35minutes, SP Mode with 163hours 10minutes and HQ Mode with 61hours 10minutes. It is equipped with four message folders for organizing messages. The LCD display shows the number of messages recorded, recording length, date, time, and battery power. It has an "Add-Recording and Correction" function that allows correcting dictation or adding additional information to message without affecting the original file. It is equipped with selectable microphone sensitivity (Hi/Lo) for recording different situations from group meetings to individual lists. The ergonomic single function buttons on the front features easy access to functions on the digital voice recorder. The recorded message has details in date and time stamp. It supports external microphone and headphone. The battery life is approximately 22 hours in LP REC mode. It is powered up by 2 "AAA" batteries. It measures 34.6 x 109.5 x 18 mm in dimensions and weighs approximately 68g with batteries.
