Olympus VN-3100PC

The Olympus VN-3100PC is a pocket sized digital voice recorder. It measures 101.6 x 39.1 x 19.6 mm and weighs 62.9g. It has a continuous recording capability of approximately 72 hours in any of the CELP or ADPCM format. The digital voice recorder is integrated with built-in 128 MB flash memory recording media and has 4 recording modes, where the recording times are depend on it. For XHQ and HQ modes, it can record for 5 hours 40 minutes and 11 hours 40 minutes, respectively. SP mode and LP mode are capable of recording for 23 hours 30 minutes and 71 hours 40 minutes. It is also equipped with a convenient thumb pad which contributes to quick operation such as file management. For visual display, it has 23 mm x 25 mm LCD screen and two colors of LED, red for recording and green for playback. The device is powered by using two AAA alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries. Alkaline batteries can last up to 25 hours of continuous operation while NiMH batteries can last up to 15 hours. It has 100% compatible sound card and a 28 mm diameter round dynamic speaker. The recorder is functioned under Intel Pentium 166MHz or faster processor and a minimum 32MB RAM.

The Olympus VN-3100PC provides variable playback speeds from 25% slower to 50% faster than real time. Besides having an integrated 128MB flash memory, it is also equipped with four different folders for easy file management where users can erase multiple files as well as transfering files.
