Olympus DS-40

Olympus DS-40 is a digital voice recorder that offers lengthy recording time for users to capture meetings, interview and other uses expected of it. The recorder that is finished in silver weighs 80g including bundled microphone and batteries. The dimension of it is 111mm x 37.5mm x 16mm. On its display, the high-contrast monochrome LCD panel that comes in the size of 26mm x 25mm comes with backlight feature. The recording format of it is in Windows Media Audio (WMA). It has the playback of WMA and MP3 as well. Built-in 512MB flash memory is contained in the device. The length of time that it is allowed to record depends on the recording mode being used. Stereo XQ mode and Stereo HQ mode provides 8 hours 40 minutes and 17 hours 20 minutes of recording time, respectively. Users are allowed to record for 34 hours 45 minutes if they select HQ mode whereas SP mode gives them 68 hours 30 minutes. In LP mode, up to 136 hours 15 minutes of recording time is given. There are 5 folder messages which offers users store up to 200 messages per folder for organization. The voice recorder is equipped with 23mm round dynamic speaker. It comes with microphone and earphone jack as well. The maximum practical output of the device sets at 250mW. Two AAA batteries are needed to power the DS-40, besides AC adapter.
