Olympus DS-30 is a compact sized digital voice recorder that comes with detachable stereo microphone. Dedicating on its sound quality, the voice recorder is suitable to be used in lecture halls and conference rooms. The recorder that is finished in black color carries the weight of 80g with the dimension of 117mm x 37.5mm x 16mm. It possesses 256MB built-in memory. Recording time depends on the five recording modes that are featured. LP mode has the recording time of 66 hours 40 minutes whereas users are allowed to record for 33 hours 30 minutes in SP mode. In HP mode, 17 hours of recording time is featured. ST Mid and ST Hi mode allows users to record for 8 hours 30 minutes and 4 hours 10 minutes, respectively. The device that is equipped with high-contrast monochrome LCD panel with backlight displays clear view font. It makes it easy to locate and play recordings, downloaded Podcasts and audio books. There are five folders that come together with the voice recorder, where each of the folders is able to be fitted with 200 messages. Music, Podcast and Audible folder are available as well. The device is powered by two AAA batteries.
Features
Low Cut Filter noise is one of the features packed with the Olympus DS-30. It minimizes low frequency noise such as air conditioner noise or other similar ones when recording. Contributing to clear audio playback as well, Noise Cancel Function and Voice Filter Function are featured. DS-30 has the recording format of highly compressed Windows Media Audio (WMA) and MP3 and stores them in the integrated flash memory. With it, it is able to playback WMA and MP3 files. With DSS Player Software that comes with it, easy archiving, editing and further processing of recordings are made possible. Users are allowed to download the latest broadcasting content if they register their favorite Podcast programs in the DSS Player.
