Summary: I have always bought Miele hoovers and vacumns - they have always been brilliant.. I had this model last time so decided to just repeat my order - but this one is a bit disappointing, the power lead wont recoil within a year, the suction is not as good and the quality is less than it used to be... Come on Miele - we notice these things, I was a loyal customer that is going to go off to Dyson next time!
Summary: I have never had such a good Hoover before previously I've had Bosch and dysons but this is in a different league. It's suction is immense my carpets have never looked so good. Hoovering has, dare I say it, become a pleasure. This was really worth paying a little extra for.
Summary: My parents always had a Miele and when I moved into my own home I had two cheaper hoover, including a Vax which lost suction after 6 months. Finally bough a proper Miele: totally worth the money!
Summary: Love this cleaner. I have a mixture of wood floors, tiles and rugs, and it works brilliantly on all. bag lasts ages. nice compact compartment for tools. Los of power settings. Can't really fault it other than cable could be a little longer.
Summary: After having tried a bagless vacuum cleaner (not a Dyson, I shall add) I decided to go back to a bagged vacuum. After extensive research and advice from friends I decided to go for the Miele power plus S5211. So far so good (I have only had it for about 3 weeks), a long retractable cable and great suction power BUT it is very heavy and hard to carry it up two flight of stairs (I am in my mid forties and pretty fit).
Summary: This is the problem with most vacuum cleaners - they just don't have a powerful enough suck. This one does okay on that score. It has a fair bit of power. It also looks good and the attachment gives the impression of being useful. I don't object to paying a good price for something that does the job and looks stylish. So I'm happy.
