Summary: I have had a Kenmore for three years and it was and still is listed as a top vacuum by Consumer Reports. But I found that it lost suction and was extremely hard to push after a few months even though it has been serviced several times. So I was looking for something better and willing to pay more. Didn't want a Dyson and I have heard about Miele brand for a long time. I was surprised at how light the whole unit actually is.
Summary: We have owned this now for about 7 months It was purchase made after reading lots of reviews. In the 90 or so reviews here for this vacuum I think most items have been addressed. We have 3600Sqft of those about 2000 is hardwood that is being vacuumed daily since we have two large dogs that sheds quite liberally, the carpeted areas are vacuumed about every other day.
Summary: I live in a 1,200 sq. foot space with wood floors and rugs. The pros: light weight, suction very good. The Capri has a rug tool that is self powered and works really well on my large low pile wool rug. The parquet tool also makes vacuuming easy and I use it on my small rugs. As for the telescoping rod -it only telescopes to a short position, not longer. this is good for me at I'm 5.5" because I can lower the length to a better shoulder height.
Summary: I love this vacuum! It's light and the suction is great. My old Kenmore wouldn't get the tiny lint off of my carpet, but this takes it up no problem. I love how light it is. It is so easy to carry upstairs. I do wish it came with a hard floor brush, but I bought the parquet twister instead. I love that you can change the amount of suction. I have 2 dogs and 2 kids, and this vacuum does a great job!
Summary: This is literally the best vacuum I have ever experienced. It is light, easy to tote around and maneuver, powerful, quiet, sturdy and attractive. It is also designed to not tip over, unlike my old Electrolux. Finally, the vacuum bags have an air cleaner built into them, a brilliant combination that keeps the air in the house clean. In my humble opinion, the Germans have mastered this machine. I LOVE my new accuum and will be a Miele customer for the rest of my life.
Summary: My last vacuum was a Dyson for which I paid a small fortune. After about a 18-19 months I had nothing but problems with it, then it died. In addition to the fact that it's life span was so short, I hated the fact that I couldn't vacuum under any furniture as it was an upright and had to lug around a swiffer from room to room to get to the dust that seems to love to hide under the furniture.
Summary: Established facts: This is an entry level Miele vacuum. The power cord is short. The attachments are small/short. The vacuum is mostly plastic. The suction hose is short(er). The bags are expensive / fill up too fast. Power control is not on the handle. (on the canister only) Suction control is not on the handle. (on the canister only) The vacuum tips over. So why did I buy this vacuum?
Summary: this thing is easy to use, light, powerful and we have a 4000 square foot house. We fill up the bag in just three or four uses, not even vacuuming every room. It is a big pain in the butt for this reason as those bags are expensive. But I cannot complain about the quality of the vacuum. Tiny bags if you've got a big house with more than four kids in it.
Summary: From the get go, this vacuum is a keeper. It is super quiet yet has the suction power of a shop-vac. The vacuum is simple to use and lightweight. Our only issue was that the box was very damaged upon receipt, but there is no apparent damage to the machine. Concerning that it would even be shipped due to the box damage.
