Summary: This vacuum is such a vast improvement from any I'e owened, and I do own an Oreck. The suction, manuverabikity and features of this vac are outstanding. I have not had such clean floors, and am lookinh fwd to my deep clean date, so the whole house will get the same clean. I have a cat, so getting that hair up is essential...and this machine's sound is quieter than anything I have ever come across. An excellent investment!
Summary: Having two golden retrievers means a lot of fur, that goes everywhere. This vacuum cleaner has suction equivalent to a shop vac, meaning it will pick up anything and everything in its path. Its head is narrow, so you can get into those hard to reach areas. Being a canister, it enables you to get underneath furniture which would not be possible with an upright vacuum cleaner.
Summary: Our vacuuming needs are straightforward; mostly hardwood floors, no kids, no pets. I debated between the Miele Capri and the Olympus - I believe the only difference between the models is that the Capri includes a parquet brush in addition to the standard vacuum head. I use the parquet brush quite a bit, and appreciate having a lighter-weight option to push around. Otherwise, the vacuum is well designed, plenty powerful and not too loud.
Pros: Easy to Use, Efficient, Lightweight, Powerful/Good Suction
Summary: I finally caved in and purchased this vacuum after 2 other vacuum models failed to do the job. I can finally clean my rugs without the suction being too strong or wimpy and also clean the hardwood floor. The complaints I do have about this vacuum are: the lack of a handle/gripper makes my hand sore after a few minutes; why it doesn't come with a HEPA filter - that was a total bummer to find out b/c now I have to shell out an additional $50 (then at least add the handle...
Summary: Overall a good product. Happy with the cleaning and quietness, Stows away well. My concerns would extend to the balance of its use. The balance of the machine will recognize that the body will pitch and roll during use. Would also appreciate a spare bag included and the option to get a HEPA filter standard or at a bargain price on the piggy back purchase. Overall. I would give it a 7. Could and would be 9-10ish with some adjustments.
Summary: Just replaced my carpeting with either wood or tile in all rooms except one bedroom. I needed a vacuum that would pick up on all 3 types of surfaces. The Miele vacuum has 2 brushes, one for carpeting & one for hard surfaces. The brushes and accessories are very easy to interchange. It is so lightweight, I just carry it around when vacuuming. Love the retractable cord. Cleans well & I would highly recommend.
Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy to Use, Efficient, Lightweight, Long Power Cord, Powerful/Good Suction
