Summary: Having had the product for a little while now, I find it to be superb. My previous vacuum cleaner was a bagged product, and had a powerful motor, yet having bought this product after my old cleaner finally broke down, I was surprised at how much dust this product picked up, and seemed to make light work of it too!
Summary: Upgrading from a resilient DC02 which survived relentless hoovering of plaster and grit from domestic building works I opted for another Dyson. This model chosen particularly because of its superior 1400W motor and, more importantly, 280 airwatts suction (the highest rating I could find and 25% higher than the more expensive Dyson DC21 Motorhead Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner ).
Summary: After reading a few bad reviews on this Dyson I certainly had my concerns on it. People were saying that it was too heavy?? awkward to use?? had a small capacity?? and the best of all the lack of suction??????..... So I went home and put it to the test. I have two different types of carpet in my house, short and long pile and this vacuum cleaner works very well on both. I also have a hardwood floor in my hall which the Dyson also cleans very well.
Summary: If you want a beautiful vacuum cleaner to look at, then the Dyson23 is your man. However just forget about it if you are hoping to do some serious cleaning round the house. In fact my 10 year-old Panasonic is doing a much better job! There has been a lot of hype about bagless vacuum cleaners over the years. What is wrong about having a bag? If anything, it's cleaner. Take the bag out and throw it straight into the bin.
Summary: I'm sorry, but yeah, yeah, blah, blah. It's a Dyson. My wife pestered me forever to get a Dyson. I saw it cheap here on Amazon. Looked nice. OK hunny bunny, I just bought your Dyson! Oh, thank you dear..... It arrive and it's like two times bigger than what I thought it would be. It looks like a lawn mower and what was I thinking? Help brains! A canister??? OK, I live in Japan for a long time and canisters are the way, but man not with this vacuum.
Excerpt: I have owned a DC23 for six years and it has stopped working. We did have a dog at the time we bought and it did suck up the hair well however the emptying of the contents is very messy and must be done often. The contents are not contained when emptying so it is flying all around and must be dumped outside or you will be recirculating the dust and dirt in your home. I am extremely disappointed that we paid all that money out for a vacuum that didn't last.
Summary: This is the worst vacuum ever. I will never purchase another dyson product again. I bought the pet one thinking it would pick up dog hair I am extremely disappointed. It just glides across the carpet and doesn't pick up anything definitely doesn't give carpets a good cleaning a broom picks up more. I had it for 2.5 years and had to have the motor replaced and the turbo power head.
Summary: We have a German Shepherd/ Border Collie mix that sheds quite a bit. After reviewing many vacuums we chose the turbinehead animal... and wish we hadn't. It worked for about a year, and now doesn't pick up any fur at all. I can vacuum the same spot several times over, and the carpet is still thick with fur. We contacted Dyson Canada, and sent the vacuum to their authorized repair centre in Waterloo, ON.
Summary: So far so good! Anxious to give it a full workout since it has performed very well so far. Filled up a canister very quickly and found it was easy to empty. The cord and hose both are a bit short but not a deal killer.
