Summary: In the last two years I have had two vacuum cleaners that were advertised as good for animal hair. These were well known brands but they failed to do the job. The Dyson works brilliantly. I vacuumed 4 rooms, stairs and halls in 20 minutes with not a trace of hair to be found afterwards. I have two dogs and a cat who shed a lot. I would definitely recommend this machine if hair removal is your top priority.
Summary: This vacumn cleaner is very efficient and compact, although it took a little while to work out how everything fitted. The extendable arm is great although a bit chunky and on the heavy side when raised above shoulder level. Would recommend to anyone.
Excerpt: I have had one of these for over a year now and think it's absolutely fantastic. The tube wraps around the machine making it really small to store . The pole is extendable and shrinks to fit. The tools are all kept on board so you don't have to go back and look for them, and it even sits on the stairs as you pull the hoover up. The suction is great as with all Dysons, I have over filled it a couple of times and it stills sucks fine.
Summary: We wanted a good vacuum cleaner that could handle fur from our bunny who is running around our apartment 24/7. What was also important that it could handle little hay bits. The Dyson DC23 does everything perfect and gets all fur and hay out of the carpet. Also the attachment for the sofa was super, it got all the fur of my cushions in no time. Couldn't be more impressed! If you have bunnies wandering around in your home then this vacuum cleaner is perfect for you!
it danced around my house and left it unrecogniseable

Summary: My advice if you are looking for a new vacuum cleaner is to go to the Dyson website and tell them about your needs and then you will be recommended which model best suites you. The website recommended this model for us. We bought it from Amazon becuase it was the cheapest we could find. I never understood why my moms house was always so much cleaner than mine. I don't have a lot of time for cleaning but I would always do my best.
Summary: Having had the product for a little while now, I find it to be superb. My previous vacuum cleaner was a bagged product, and had a powerful motor, yet having bought this product after my old cleaner finally broke down, I was surprised at how much dust this product picked up, and seemed to make light work of it too!
Summary: Upgrading from a resilient DC02 which survived relentless hoovering of plaster and grit from domestic building works I opted for another Dyson. This model chosen particularly because of its superior 1400W motor and, more importantly, 280 airwatts suction (the highest rating I could find and 25% higher than the more expensive Dyson DC21 Motorhead Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner ).
Summary: After reading a few bad reviews on this Dyson I certainly had my concerns on it. People were saying that it was too heavy?? awkward to use?? had a small capacity?? and the best of all the lack of suction??????..... So I went home and put it to the test. I have two different types of carpet in my house, short and long pile and this vacuum cleaner works very well on both. I also have a hardwood floor in my hall which the Dyson also cleans very well.
Summary: If you want a beautiful vacuum cleaner to look at, then the Dyson23 is your man. However just forget about it if you are hoping to do some serious cleaning round the house. In fact my 10 year-old Panasonic is doing a much better job! There has been a lot of hype about bagless vacuum cleaners over the years. What is wrong about having a bag? If anything, it's cleaner. Take the bag out and throw it straight into the bin.
