Summary: I bought this as a replacement for my very old DC05 as I have been very satisfied with it. This new one has marvellous suction, folds away compactly and the only disadvantage seems to be it is heavier but I wanted a vacuum cleaner for what it does rather than how it feels. Highly recommended.
Summary: I had two main criteria; easy to use on stairs and able to cope with my dog's copious hairs. This baby is fab for both - I obviously bought the Animal variety. The main unit sits nicely on the stairs, very stable, enabling you to vacuum with ease and without pulling on the hose!
Summary: I'm delighted with my Dyson and its cleaning power. It's easy to put together and has great suction power. This is a 4 star product for me because I think there's still room for improvement. On the up side. Good attachments which store easily.
Good suction spoilt by flimsy plastic construction

Summary: Compared to my previous Dyson cleaner this one has a fragile feel to all the plastic parts, in particular the clear plastic dust bin. The clear carry handle is not firmly fixed to at the one end and is free move up and down.
Summary: I just loved my old Dyson DC01 now my new one has arrived it's more compact and sucks so hard it tries to lift the carpet off the floor, oh and it gets up dirt that has been ground into the floor... IF YOU WANT A DYSON THAT IS GREAT AND SMALL BUY THIS ONE, YOU WON"T REGRET IT
Summary: We replaced our DC05 Absoulte (motor burned out) with this vac. We have a German Shepherd, and a 4 year old toddler. Our house is a mixture of carpets and laminate. The vac works well -- no major surprises with it works just like I would expect any new vac to perform.
Summary: In the last two years I have had two vacuum cleaners that were advertised as good for animal hair. These were well known brands but they failed to do the job. The Dyson works brilliantly. I vacuumed 4 rooms, stairs and halls in 20 minutes with not a trace of hair to be found afterwards.
Summary: This vacumn cleaner is very efficient and compact, although it took a little while to work out how everything fitted. The extendable arm is great although a bit chunky and on the heavy side when raised above shoulder level. Would recommend to anyone.
