Summary: I have a short haired dog that goes through a shedding cycle twice a year and when she does, there is hair everywhere. I have a combination of surfaces in my home (tile, hardwood, and carpet) and needed something that will work on all of them. This product exceeded my expectations. The suction is exceptional. It is light-weight, easy to use, and picks up the hair thoroughly on one pass.
Summary: Rambo is my dyson DC23 pet sucking vac and I mean pet sucking. I have a Jaclyn Russell she is a girl not a Jack! And she moults badly since having Rambo I have notices my carpets are hair free,
Summary: I decided to wait a while before I reviewed the Dyson. I've had it for almost a full year now. I must say it is the best vacuum I've ever had. We have two cats. One sheds year round. Needless to say we have cat hair everywhere. Solution: The Dyson! Vacuuming the rugs makes them look like we just put them down. Using the animal attachment on the couch...other than the misshapen pillows from them laying on them...it looks new as well.
Summary: I have owned my Dyson for 3 months and it is sensational. It's suction is incredible and so strong compared to my previous vacuum cleaner. My floors and carpets have never looked better. It is easy to empty and now bags to replace. Well worth the expence.
Summary: Its a little heavey, however it picks so much of the dust and dirt that comes through our house and all of the dog hair (we have 2 dogs, and this is the main reason why we purchased the DC23).
Summary: You pay extra for a DC23 animal because of the extra attachments. The machine does not have a place to store the extra attachments. This means they will get lost. Very bad design also for storage. The hose makes it almost impossible to store. If I had known about these problems I would not have purchased the dc23 animal. Not worth the price. Very disapointed. Would not buy another one.
Summary: I did a lot of research before I decided the quality and reliability of a Dyson (for pets) was worth the expense (cheaper at Amazon!). Everything about the vacuum was just as advertised, unfortunately I overestimated the amount of power I needed. The Dyson absolutely never loses suction but I wish it were a little more adjustable. I live in a studio apartment with a large rug over a tiled floor. Without variable suction, this model is a lot of work to use.
Summary: I have been using our Dyson Motorhead for a few months now and I must admiit that our house has never been cleaner. Whilst we believed our home was clean before the amount of dirt extracted from our carpets was staggering. This without doubt is the best cleaner on the market. Well worth the price tag. If I have any comment that is not positive it is that using the Motorhead makes my back ache.
Summary: excellent vaccuum that picks up more than others don't. good to pack away, reliable to use. recommendations: be good if the vacuum was alot quieter or at least somewhat. People down at end of street can hear me. I think power consumption is high, be good if can be redeuced. The motorised head is not always the easiest to clean. Instructions to use are too simple as in no text and only drawings can be confusing. When parts break it can be expensive if out of warranty.
Summary: Having used other power and turbine head vacuums I can only recommend this one. The car cleaning kit was also purchased with it and I have found the best way to use this is with a hose from a normal DC23 machine (Part No. 914851-01). Before using this vacuum I used my old Volta with turbine head to clean the whole house, while cleaning it again with the Dyson I needed to empty the Dyson bin at least once for all the rooms, sometimes twice (larger rooms).
