Summary: Bought this to vacuum up little bits/crumbs etc. Not the best to be honest. Expected much more for something that cost £35. Hardly has enough power to pick up wall/saw dust after drilling, struggles for cat hairs and bits off carpet. However the wet function works well I have to admit. Have to clean out the filter regularly otherwise has a massive effect on power. Overall it's OK. Works fine for little bits/spills, not bad for giving a quick clean in the car.
Summary: Bought this for my husband for the car and to use under the table. Within 6 months it no longer works- unable to charge. The reviews looked good and very happy initially, longevity let it down.
Summary: I had a Bissell spot lifter which was fantastic with a toddler *attempting* toilet training. Unfortunately after several years hard labour it has gone to hoover heaven. This new wet & dry does not have a clean water reservoir, and the suction is sadly lacking on carpets in comparison. I've not had much chance to give it a thorough work out, but when my mum spilt her coffee on the carpet, this just wasn't going to do the job.
Summary: I picked up one of these to replace a tired Lidl budget hand held Vacuum which refused to charge after years of use. Have to be honest, I am overall quite impressed. Before I go on read this part it's logical but often overlooked... - No it's not as powerful as a household cleaner, but then it's a hand held Vac so you should have realistic expectations - You have to "clean and wash" the sponge filter from time to time.
Black & Decker NW4860N Wet & Dry Dustbuster Handheld Vacuum, 4.8 V
Mrs. Sheila Smith, Amazon
8 October 2013
Summary: We have had on of these Black and Decker before but made the mistake of not getting one strong enough. This however is ideal for our purpose. Quick and easy to pick up crumbs and bits from surfaces. Good buy.
Summary: I've owned my Dustbuster for two months now, and can't believe I've reached the grand old age of ** without it. It has been used every few days and is absolutely brilliant. Without making my house sound too much like a flea-pit, it is brilliant for: dust-bunnies in hard to reach places; tiled floors like bathrooms where all the dust gets blown to the edges and under the radiator; windowsills with shrivelled house-plant leaves, when you can't be bothered to move the whole...
Summary: This was bought as a replacement for another Black and Decker which had lost its suction after several years of use. It is not exactly as the picture shows, it actually has a single handle, so is unlike my previous one, but I am very happy with it. Although it is a lower voltage than the previous one it seems to be just as good, so I'm pleased with this purchase.
Summary: This has replaced a 6 volt version which saw good service for about 12 years when the battery finally failed. I was a bit disappointed to discover that the rechargeable battery was not replaceable. I hope this one lasts as long - however in this case I do know that the battery is not replaceable.
