Group test: 46-47in flat TV

In most other ways the 46W3000's pictures excel. Colours, for instance, are blisteringly intense yet also almost universally natural in tone bar one or two slightly orangey reds. Plus there's impressively little sign of any sort of noise aside from the smearing we've already covered. But sadly it's the negatives that ultimately make the biggest impression. Read more

Great Customer Service & Fab 1080p TV

Hiya, I ordered one of these from amazon, the 1080p / 24 picture from bluray on PS3 is crystal. Watched a few blurays and tried dvd upscaler / call of duty on ps3 with great results. As mentioned in the other reviews, the SD picture is not an option here. Freeview picture is up to a good standard. The out of box setting are good but worth playing round to get an idea. The sound from the tv itself you can enjoy, but a 5.1 surround will do it justice. One important thin... Read more

KDL 46W3000 - VIDEO PROCESSING, VIEWING DISTANCE, SPECS CONFIRM.
...you can outsource the scaling/ deinterlacing and bypass those on the television. For watching broadcast sports, the Pioneer Kuros plasmas, and the latest Toshiba and Philips LCDs offer better scaling/ deinterlacing than the Sony LCD. I haven't tested the Sony KDL46W3000, but there's no harm in trying out our KDL40W3000 settings . Yes, the settings can be saved independently per input. Warmest regards Vincent
