The highly sophisticated and powerful range of LCD television sets featuring BRAVIA (Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Structures) from Sony entirely has been just renewed. The Bravia Engine efficiently gets rid of unwanted noise, and is also able to highlight details in the comparatively darker parts of the picture. Digital artifacts are also reduced to a major extent by multiplying the number of pixels by four times and enlarging the number of color graduations. From a technical view point, it is adopts two exclusive technologies. The first relates to the flagstone technology which confers a very broad angle of vision and lessens distortion as one moves to the edges of the screen, and the second technology is aimed at widening the range of colors that can be reproduced.

Having talked about the picture quality, the audio surely is praise worthy as well. The amazing sound quality and clarity put together with the good looks of this feature rich LCD TV from Sony also flaunts a flawless operating system. The end result is stunning picture quality that is available at a price level that is a tad above ‘clearly affordable’. So if you have the money to shell out, go right ahead and buy absolute value for your money.

I'd been researching LCD televisions on the net for a while, and had already decided on a Sony. To narrow my choice further I went along to the local Sony Centre to check them out in the flesh, so to speak. Wow! What an eye opener. Believe me, whichever Sony you choose you will be really pleased by the quality. After staring at screens for ages I couldn't actually tell the difference between this one and the much more expensive X series that uses the BRAVIA EX engine,... Read more

This review is from: Sony KDL40V2000 - 40" Widescreen Bravia HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview (Electronics) I've had this T.V. for 6months now and I am so impressed...I bought it as a present for my PS3 everything about it is just wow, easy to connect, no need for hd-dvd player as my PS3 upscales ordinary dvd and is a blu-ray player, some people have complained its only 1080i but I have watched 1080p and to be honest I can not tell the difference, the difference between my... This LCD TV overall is a quality buy. Nice finish on the panel itself and also has an interface that's easy on the eye. Plays games and shows sports with clear picture and without ghosting. The TV is really good for HD media. The picture quality is clear with great colours. The sound quality is also good for inbuilt speakers. You would definitely want to connect this to a much better sound system for best viewing experience. Read more

This is an excellent TV, I had to carry it on my own up a flight of stairs and managed easily (all though not recommended lol). Setting up was an absolute doddle, the menu is easy to read and understand. The picture is absolutely quality including the inbuilt freeview, standard dvd's, divx films, hd movies and my Xbox360 looks awesome. The only downfall is it takes about 5-10 seconds to switch between the inputs eg AV1, AV2 etc which can be quite annoying. Read more
