You can't go wrong with this TV. It's excellent. And it's a Samsung.

Excerpt: I've owned this TV for little over a year, and I am loving it. I had an LG before this one, and I thought that was awesome, but this is miles better. While I think that LG is still a brilliant manufacturer, I have to say that Samsung do it better. LOOKS: Black, sleek and stunning. Samsung products have always looked the part.

I did tell myself not to buy another gloss black product, because of finger prints, and dust shows up easily, but this TV looked so nice, I decided to ignore me. Nice and thin for it's size, it has a stand that rotates and a red bar across the bottom, that doesn't seem to have any purpose other than to add a bit of colour. SOUND: ...
Pros: Looks, picture and sound quality, connectivity, small for a 40" TV
Cons: Only 1 SCART socket, this model doesn't support videio playback through USB
Excerpt: "The tv is a really good quality and the small bit of the red at the bottom of the tv really makes it work. Viewing it from different angles is really good I walked around the tv and it stayed the same until I was practically behind the tv so I couldn't see it. Really easy to use I didn't even need to use the instructions just took it out the box plugged it in and popped in the aerial and boom it was working it has got built in freeview so thats ...
Excerpt: "...other manufacturers had accomplished before, samsung has really caught up and delivered.. 1080p, usb media support, better user interface and a much better cabinet design, even the base was sturdier, bit heavy though.. attaching the tv to the wall was pretty easy, it took us half an hour... being on the wall really improves the viewing pleasure, even, when we sat on the side we could watch the whole picture..very helpful when u got a family in the ...
Pros: usb media support, 1080p picture quality
Cons: touch sensitive on the bottom not very responsive, have 2 use the remote . more usb ports would hlp
Summary: I bought this TV a couple of months ago now, primarily for Blu-Ray movie watching, and the picture quality is absolutely breathtaking. Colours are rich and life-like and the detail levels are sublime. The standard refresh rate (50Hz I think) means that some fast panning shots can become a little hard to pin down visually- 'blurry' would be far too strong a word.
A absolutely brilliant TV, and definitely worth a purchase.

Excerpt: I'm not quite sure what unknown force it is that seems to be causing manufacturers everywhere to coat every new electrical appliance in glossy, black plastic, but I'm not complaining. Especially not about this TV. The Samsung LE-40B530 is slim, packed with features, and high definition, and there's virtually nothing to complain about. Let's start with the picture quality. Picture quality: Absolutely no complaints here.
Summary: The most annoying thing is the TV menu for changing channels etc. Big Black box appears in top left corner with channel number (10 x 20cm), this disappears after a few seconds which is ok. However, if you select alternative input (AV, SCART, DVD), you have to select input, then press OK, to 'ok' it only then will Big black box disappear. Most other TV just take a few seconds and accept input automatically, not this TV though.
Brilliant television which anyone will be happy with

Excerpt: This really is a great television its compact, slim, and it really looks great, it goes well in my living room and looks the part. the glass which is infront of the actually Television screen is a great addition to the product as you cant get any marks on the actual screen (this is what messed up my last television). the picture is very sharp and if u have HD sky, or freesat you will really see the difference.
Very neat and big TV for only a few hundred pounds, great buy in my view

Excerpt: After having a 30inch smaller LCD Samsung TV I have always been thinking of upgrading to something bigger. Recently one of my friends had bought a new TV and happened to be this Samsung which i am writing this review about. I never like buying things before I have tried them out or at least seen them in real life so after going around his house seeing and checking this TV out I was pretty pleased.
