Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85

The Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 is a 37 inch Full HD LCD HDTV that is styled in a combination of gloss black and silver. The design sports a thicker than average bezel and is complemented by a silver curved speaker bar that is fitted at the bottom of the front section.

Features

The Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 features 1080p HD (Blu-ray disc) which gives it a rich colour pallete and a great amount of visible detail. Besides that, it has a sharpening feature that cannot be displayed but works well against the quality of images by emphasizing the boundaries of the blocks which make up the compressed images. Inaddition to that, the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 is also compatible with 24p Input and display which means that no telecine judder will be visible from Blu-ray Discs outputting in this mode, thus projecting the movie the way directors intended it to be. Additionall, the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 also has standard definition integrated Freeview digital television. As for video features, the images output from the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85’s built-in DVB tuner are treated a little differently than those sent to the AV inputs. Besides that, they are also treated to MPEG Noise reduction which can’t be disabled. Other than that, the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 also has “Game Mode” to lessen the lag in game playing, giving better responsiveness and a better game feel.

Of course, the heavy processing power that causes a slight issue with gaming is manna from heaven for video. The TX-32LZD85 is every bit as sublime at showing standard and high definition material as its rivals.  While it may not be the purist gamer’s choice, once you add some exceptional video prowess to the nearly flawless gaming, as a TV/console all-rounder, the Panasonic TX-32LZD85 is the one to beat. For a brand that still swears its undying allegiance to the plasma cause, Panasonic sure knows how to make a superior LCD TV. The TX-32LZD85 really does have pretty much everything a discerning TV customer could ask for, including terrific pictures and features galore Read more

The Panasonic Viera TX-32LZD85 is well made, aesthetically pleasing and most importantly a good picture even with a weak Freeview signal. It's a bit expensive for a 32" TV but does most things pretty well. The most dissapointing part is the sound quality, which is just not good enough at this price point If you can get a good deal on this set, or a free 5 year guarantee the it's a great buy. At RRP it's still a good TV, but VfM is reduced so on ly a good buy. Read more

This review is from: Panasonic TX-32LZD85 - 32" Widescreen Viera 1080P Full HD LCD TV - With Freeview (Electronics) One very slight flaw - but whose fault? It's difficult at times to follow the ball on clay tennis courts. Will HD broadcasts remedy the situation? Read more
