Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85

The Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 is a 37 inch Full HD LCD HDTV that is styled in a combination of gloss black and silver. The design sports a thicker than average bezel and is complemented by a silver curved speaker bar that is fitted at the bottom of the front section.

Features

The Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 features 1080p HD (Blu-ray disc) which gives it a rich colour pallete and a great amount of visible detail. Besides that, it has a sharpening feature that cannot be displayed but works well against the quality of images by emphasizing the boundaries of the blocks which make up the compressed images. Inaddition to that, the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 is also compatible with 24p Input and display which means that no telecine judder will be visible from Blu-ray Discs outputting in this mode, thus projecting the movie the way directors intended it to be. Additionall, the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 also has standard definition integrated Freeview digital television. As for video features, the images output from the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85’s built-in DVB tuner are treated a little differently than those sent to the AV inputs. Besides that, they are also treated to MPEG Noise reduction which can’t be disabled. Other than that, the Panasonic Viera TX-37LZD85 also has “Game Mode” to lessen the lag in game playing, giving better responsiveness and a better game feel.

No doubt the two products have been engineered to work well together, and unquestionably they do. So far so good. However I have to say that pictures from the built-in Freeview tuner are awful. Images are soft and lacking in detail. Faces appear as if they are covered in heavy make up. When compared to... Read more

beautiful and elegant with excellent picture quality and good sound. image definition is superb as is its ability to accurately track motion. comparing it to other lcd tv's i've used, it seems to me to provide improved colours and contrast. Excellent picture quality with stunning detail from 1080i format. Watching sports was excellent and the picture stayed with the fast moving action without any signs of edge blurring. External dimensions do not overpower the room yet it still manages to give an excellent picture size. Read more
