    The advent of high-definition has raised the bar for bigscreen performance and it takes something pretty special to exceed expectation. The 42PZ700B, though, has what it takes and then some.     The Panasonic TH-42PZ700U isn't cheap, and you don't get a lot of neat extra features for your money, but it does have an excellent picture. Read more

    With the 42PZ700 proving largely resilient to common plasma noise types like dot crawl and fizzing noise over horizontal motion, and handling standard definition admirably, our only picture niggle is that some reds can look rather orange. It's perhaps debatable if the 42PZ700's prowess quite justifies its slightly high £1,900 price. But certainly not in doubt is the fact that this is one mighty fine telly. Read more

    Read 100s off reviews on what type off big screen to go for ! Would it be PLASMA or LCD ? Compared loads off different models and narrowed it down to the SAMSUNG 40M87 series lcd or the PANASONIC 42PZ700 ? Went in to my local Comet store and and was totaly blown away by the picture quality off the Plasma tv , The picture was just amazingly sharp not grainy compared to the LCD !     Can anyone sell me on the Panasonic TH42PZ700 / PZ70 vs. the Pioneer Kuro PDP4280XD?  Not sure how to value Full HD / 1080p of the Panasonic vs. the higher contrast ratio of the Kuro.  Both look great to me in person. How about the TH42PZ700 vs. PZ70? Thanks in advance for your insights.

    Sorry for gate crashing this thread, I need a peace of mind advice from Vincent. I'm having problems deciding which tv to buy. Panasonic TH42PZ700PED or Pioneer PDP4280XD.   5. 42" Plasma: Pioneer vs. Panasonic?

    I am looking to buy a 42" Plasma, and have narrowed it down to either the Panasonic TH42PZ700 or Pioneer Kuro PDP4280XD.  I have read many reviews and seen them both in the shops.  Both look great.  That said, the Panasonic is Full HD / has 1080p and the Kuro doesn't - but contrast is 16k for Kuro vs. 5k for Panasonic.  Which matters more?  Any tho...
