The LG 42LH4000 is a 42-inch widescreen HD Ready 1080p LCD TV with high contrast ratio of 80,000:1 delivered via XD Engine image processing called Dual XD Engine, furnished with 100Hz TruMotion, 24p Real Cinema, a high brightness level of 500cd/m2 plus a resolution of 1,920-by-1080-pixels. It also has a built in digital tuner to tune in to different Digital Freeview channels, Intelligent Sensor 2 and 20 watt speakers that owns a sound output mode of SRS TruSurround XT and Dolby Digital technology. The LG 42LH4000 is available in Black finish and also having a versatile swivel function.

The LG 42LH4000 is designed with a screen size of 42-inch wide screen and resolution of 1920-by-1080-pixels (HD ready), high brightness that able to cater for 500cd/m2 producing a clear picture quality with real effect, TruMotion 100Hz that can reduce blurring motion in fast scenes, Intelligent Sensor 2 for optimising picture and reducing power consumption, plus it is also powered by LG’s proprietary XD engine Picture processing technology that provides a range of enhancements thus improving the television’s operation in terms of quality incoming feeds and the output of the feeds presentation. In terms of sound features, the LG 42LH4000 incorporates SRS TruSurround XT sound technology with a total output power of 20W to give it the effect of digital surround sound from its 2 way 4 speaker systems. It also has Game mode feature for optimizing the screen’s performance with console sources, Quick view, child lock with parental control and an onscreen display for the Freeview Electronic Programme Guide that is now mapped to match the screen’s resolution. Besides that, the TV can also receive analogue such as PAL, PAL/SECAM, SECAM or NTSC, and comes with a sleep timer. The LG 42LH4000 have a wall mountable option with the optional bracket. The device measures at 104cm in width, 72.1cm in height and 29.6cm in depth (with stand) and it weights in at 18.9kg including stand. Without stand, it measures at 104cm in width, 65.5cm in height and 9cm in depth and it weights in at 17.1kg. Other features include D-Sub PC input, two SCARTs, one composite, one headphone, three HDMIs and supports USB 2.0 for JPEG and MP3 playback.
