The HTC Flyer is a 7.7" x 4.8" x 0.52"/14.82oz smartphone that sports a 7-inch touch screen with 1024 x 600 resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz processor and supports a 32 GB internal phone memory with expandability via a microSD™ memory card (SD 2.0 compatible), 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and standard micro-USB (5-pin micro-USB 2.0). The HTC Flyer supports HSPA/WCDMA 900/AWS/2100 MHz, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz network and runs Android™ with HTC Sense™ platform.

The HTC Flyer also features G-Sensor, digital compass, ambient light sensor, playback for .aac, .amr, .ogg, .m4a, .mid, .mp3, .wav, and .wma (Windows Media Audio 9) audio format, playback for .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, and .wmv (Windows Media Video 9) video format, Wi-Fi® IEEE 802.11b/g/n, and Bluetooth® 3.0 with A2DP for wireless stereo headsets. The HTC Flyer features a 5 MP camera that supports video recording to capture and replay moments in life and a 1.3 MP front facing camera for face-to-face chat. Other features on the smartphone include Adobe Flash support, multi-window browsing with pinch to zoom, quick look-up function via Wikipedia, YouTube and other resources, a 3D carousel to navigate photos, entertainment, weather, calendar, email, and contacts; comes with a Magic Pen that lets users draw, paint, write, and even retouch pictures. It can also function as a highlighter for the reader; is integrated with OnLive Gaming Service; provides access to the latest Hollywood blockbusters for on-demand viewing, and SRS WOW HD™ virtual surround sound via its dual speakers. Other features on the smartphone include Evernote which syncs up with a secure online server that lets users access their notes from the smartphone, a phone or home/work computer; view and edit Office documents, allows them to view their emails (both work and personal) on one screen, a built-in library, supports for Snapbooth that lets users change lens or add effects to their captured images, and a Kid Mode with story books and games.
