The Nad C715 is a digital amplifier that plays music from its FM/AM tuner, CD player and music transferred via USB from its front panel USB. It supports several types of music files, USB 1.1 and also has CD repeat mode for several functions.

Features

The Nad C715 has two times 20 watts power with 4/8 Ohms at rated distortion. It has an in built AM-FM radio tuner with 30 AM/30 FM preset station memory. The Nad C715 allows playback of CD, CD-R/RW discs media. The player allows CD repeat mode such as one track, all tracks and Repeat A-B. It also has USB digital record and playback function for memory stick and MP3 media players. Recording and play back is enabled with its selected choice of MP3 or WMA file types. It has a total of 3 analog stereo inputs and 1 analog output that sends recording signal to a tape recorder as well as 1 digital optical output that transmits recording signal to a digital recorder. The Nad C715 also has a timer as well as alarm function with 24 hour clock. Including a headphone output. Its design includes multi-way speaker binding posts that enables the usage of high quality speaker cables and subwoofer output for connection to an optional selfpowered subwoofer.It also has bass and treble controls as well as a functional remote control. Files that are compatible for playback is MP3/WMA. Supports the USB 1.1 at 12Mbps.

    I purchased this unit more for it's form factor than anything else. As a heavy user of lossless and lossy audio archived on computers, I have a wife who still often prefers to grab a cd and press play (even though can use auto-play on the HTPC). Anyway, I sold my standalone tuner and saw that this had a usb port. I had forgotten however the iPods do not have a digital output; one must bypass the internal DAC and use a Wadia or other such device or you'll just get line... Read more

    Our household has been lacking a good music solution in the living room for a long time, 3 years in fact. My wife and I have both wanted radio and CD player , but I also wanted iPod input, mp3 capability, etc. I've owned several Yamaha receivers over the years, and have a pair of Klipsch 4.1 speakers, but didn't want a big cumbersome setup and have to buy a separate CD player.
