Summary: Although I am very pleased with my Aquatouch rechargeable the only drawback I found was that, you don't seem to know how much life left there is in the shaver, but having said that I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and the battery has not run out yet, maybe it gives you some indication towards the end of its power, I would have given it 5 stars only for this
Summary: After 2 years using a basic Philips it was as cheap to buy new as to replace the cutting head, so I upgraded. Ran tests, half face shaved with old Philips, other half with new. Without knowing which was which my wife thought the new razor had given a slightly smoother shave. Similar test with wet and dry shaving gave a slightly smoother result with a wet shave. Neither improvement was dramatic, but detectable.
Summary: Bought it for my husband as a birthday present as he already had a phillishave that he used in the shower but it was proving difficult getting new heads. So far he's very pleased with it, it doesn't seem to be as powerful as his old one but he still gets a very good shave and likes the charging time too!
Summary: Philips AT890/17 continues the return to form of the AT890, a well made shaver that gives a good close shave wet or dry, quick charging, easy clean and maintenance, comfortable in the hand, and a sensible, simple charging lead that means it all just pops into a washbag when travelling.
Summary: I used to have a simple cheap foil shaver but when the cost of replacing the head was going to be more than half the original cost every 6 months i decided it might be time for an upgrade and this was well worth it. A few points: It seems to work very well, i get a nice clean shave that does me well till the next morning when i use it.
Summary: I have a strong (grey now!) beard which grows in multiple directions. I have always had to shave up, down, sideways and any other direction one can think of. Several years ago I had an original Philishave which was adequate, but it had long been discarded in favour of Gillette Fusion system. This always gave good results, but with the ever increasing costs of blades, I have tried supermarket's own label and King of Shaves, with pretty poor results.
