Summary: This is the second Philips I've had, and its going to be the last I thought they would have improved over the years since my last one, but no way this one has ripped my under chin and neck to bits just like my old one did that was about eight years ago, I've only had the one shave off this new one...
Poor design and poor build quality. Buy this if you want to just stroke your face and not get a shave.

Summary: This thing is a complete dog. I bought one to replace my old 3-head Phillips shaver, which had given me reasonable service for years. But it didn't shave me at all - the head would just glide over my face, and nothing happened!
Summary: The Philips AquaTouch 890/20 is mid-priced and one of their current wet/dry models that occur throughout their product ranges which offers the option to use it as you would most electric shavers or wet with foam or gel for a claimed superior shave with a reduced chance of skin irritation.
Summary: This is my first experience with any electric shavers. I wanted to give it a try after reading all the reviews. I am mid 40s and used to shave by blade (gillette fusion, mach etc) and I also have slightly sensitive skin especially in the neck area.
Summary: A super electric shaver, better than a previous Philips electric shaver I have which cost at least a third more than this one. It shaves really well, I find that there is always a small area (generally near or around the throat) that I have to just touch up with a disposable razor but this electric...
Summary: I have been a confirmed wet shaver since my teens now and only ever once dallied with an electric shaver (years ago - a Braun model) whose only purpose was seemingly to stretch, pull and burn my skin, leaving it feeling taut and uncomfortable. Not nice.
Summary: I have always avoided electric razors in the past, mainly due to having a bad experience with one I received as a birthday present in my youth. However I was becoming fed up of having to pay such a high price for disposable razors so thought I would give it another go.
Summary: This is my fifth Philips shaver and it's by far the best. I try to use the wet shave option whenever I can using shaving gel. This gives me a very close shave and only the very occasional minor nick. You do have to keep wetting the shaver to stop it sticking to your face though.
A great shaver but maybe not as robust as older models

Summary: I have had 2 other Philips shavers previously and this doesn't seem quite as robust. However, it works exceptionally well and cuts just as close as a wet shave. The ability to just rinse it under the tap after shaving also ensures that it stays very clean.
