Summary: I purchased this following a couple of reviews elsewhere saying that it was almost as good as a razor. But my own experience finds it falls well short in this area. The unit itself is well designed and packaged. It is easy to operate, and feels good to hold / grip and use. It comes with a handy pouch too (although I would have liked to have had something that accomodated the charger cord too).
Summary: I googled electric shavers and was attracted to the Phillips by the wet shaving option and by the demonstration videos on the Phillips website. I then found that the Amazon price was half that of high street retailers. The shaver is totally brilliant used both wet and dry. My only quibble is that it comes with a useless wordless illustrated manual.
Summary: I cannot really think of any way this shaver could be much better. It works well both wet and dry. I believe that the last version had a storage pouch with it and I was slightly surprised that this one did not, but as problems go that one is minor.
Summary: Although I am very pleased with my Aquatouch rechargeable the only drawback I found was that, you don't seem to know how much life left there is in the shaver, but having said that I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and the battery has not run out yet, maybe it gives you some indication towards the end of its power, I would have given it 5 stars only for this
Summary: After 2 years using a basic Philips it was as cheap to buy new as to replace the cutting head, so I upgraded. Ran tests, half face shaved with old Philips, other half with new. Without knowing which was which my wife thought the new razor had given a slightly smoother shave. Similar test with wet and dry shaving gave a slightly smoother result with a wet shave. Neither improvement was dramatic, but detectable.
