When I was a child in the sixties, our family album was somewhat limited. Back then photography was very expensive and colour photography was still being developed for the masses. My father had an old Kodak 126 instamatic camera then, which was the first camera he had owned that was capable of taking colour photographs. At the time he preferred to buy film for slide photography, as these slides tended to preserve colour images far better than prints from the period. The... Read more

Got this for my Dad to scan in slides. It is a bit slow in high quality mode, but the results are seem worth it. My only complaints at this time are as follows: The included slide show software was not near as good as Movie Maker that comes with XP, but I was hopeing for something better. The auto mode scanning software did not seem to do color restoration. However the professional mode allowed this to be picked and that feature does an excellant job. Wish auto would... Read more

I've scanned over 500 old 35mm slides in the first week I've had it and it's performed perfectly. The software works great with Windows 7. You can't it beat for the price. Read more
