Epson’s Perfection V200 Photo is not only stylish but also user-friendly. All you have to do is on the power, load the driver and software and connect the USB lead and start using. The scanner’s lid is hinged and can be easily expandable upward for thick documents or books up to 25mm thick can be scanned with the lid closed and, when fully open to 180 degrees, it can fit large documents and books. There is also a transparency unit which can grasp six frames of 35mm film or four slide frames at once. Epson’s Perfection V200 Photo other controls enable you to perform multiple scanning to PDF files and to e-mail as well as copies. The scanner also includes Energy Star compliant, that is: it has a power
saving mode that will automatically go into action after 15 minutes of inactivity. With a 4,800dpi optical resolution and using Epson's Matrix CCD (12 line colour) technology, clarity, colour and sharpness of the scans are impressive. Another advance feature is the Auto Photo Orientation feature which straightens up photos that have not been well placed,and the dust removal sensors are also better. It also features the ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint (for optical character recognition) and ArcSoft PhotoImpression 6, to better sort out and organise your scanned photos. Epson's excellent Creativity Suite comes with a slight upgrade in the new red-eye reduction feature. I absoutly love this scanner, it is fantastic and great value for money at £69.99 for a scanner you cant go wrong. I have so many photos of me and my family when I was a child, and I felt it would be great to buy a scanner and put them onto the computer just in case something happens to the photos I at least know I'll still have kept the wounderful memories on my computer. . Superb scans and the lid opening from left to right instead of the usual front to back is a winner as is the overall design. Amazing value for money. Read more
