Epson’s Perfection V100 Photo scanners can convert Film Negatives into Digital Images. The scanner also has Epson's Easy Photo Fix technology for restoring color brightness to old and faded photos, Digital Dust Correction for removing small particles from scanned images and Backlight Correction for improving poorly exposed photos taken with bright light in the background. With a maximum optical resolution of 3,200 dpi, the scanner can handle a regular photos, books, magazines, etc, up to 8.5 by 11.7 inches. The scanner's lid is hinged and can be easily expandable upward for thick documents or books. The scanner includes four one-touch buttons; The Scan button scans and saves the captured image. The Copy button scans your document and sends the image to Epson's Copy Utility, enabling you to print it out. The Email button scans and attaches the scanned image to an email message. The PDF button scans an image ormultiple document pages and creates a PDF file containing all of the scanned material. Otherwise, as I have no experience of Multi Function Printers, I can only let you know what I have. A Brother H1230 Mono Laser Printer, an Epson Perfection V100 Photo Scanner - both of which give good service - the laser I have had for 6 years now and wouldn't want any other - very economic indeed.
