Canon’s LiDE 25 scanners are popular due to their thinness as they use LED technology to scan images, giving high-quality images. The scanner is easy to install with the included CD and plugging in the USB cable. The CD also includes image-editing software ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5 and ScanSoft Omnipage SE for OCR. PhotoStudio offers basic image editing, and Omnipage enables high-quality transcriptions. It is supplied with a wizard to facilitate the job. The image quality is quite good with a 300dpi resolution, and fabulous with the highest 1200dpi setting.
