Summary: works fine with an older usb modem, recognised right away. if u have an unlocked usb modem let say vodafone and wanna use it O2 card in laptop wont work because u don't have the software which is using the modem, but with this u don't need the software, the router`s firmware will do it. My only problem was: default address is 192.168.0.1 (this for the newer model), works fine until u plug in the lan cable.
Summary: Using this box as a basic, reasonably priced N access point. Easy to configure as such, sturdy and reliable with the possibility of being used as a backup/emergency router I need it. Runs cold when used as access point.
Summary: I use a 4g usb modem connected to this as my main internet connection for the house. Having the 4 ethernet ports is really handy as i have my sky box and NAS connected up along with my laptop and two tablets connected wirelessly. Works really well and so far no problems at all. Simple plug and play install!
Summary: I work as a computer technician in an area where broadband isn't easily accessible by landline and always recommend this router to customers who use a USB dongle with SIM to access 3G signal. Installation is straightforward. The user interface is friendly, even to those who may find such a configuration process a bit daunting. Inserting the USB is all you have to do as far as establishing a connection is concerned. The router takes care of configuring that end of things.
Summary: Using a Huawei 4G dongle to speed up the internet connection for films. Port Forwarding works well with BT but not with 3G due to software issues in dongle and MR3420. TP-Link support is not great although they suggest the dongle is compatible with their router! Planning on testing with a TP-Link dongle - unfortunately doesn't yet support 4G.
