Summary: I work as a computer technician in an area where broadband isn't easily accessible by landline and always recommend this router to customers who use a USB dongle with SIM to access 3G signal. Installation is straightforward. The user interface is friendly, even to those who may find such a configuration process a bit daunting. Inserting the USB is all you have to do as far as establishing a connection is concerned. The router takes care of configuring that end of things.
Summary: Using a Huawei 4G dongle to speed up the internet connection for films. Port Forwarding works well with BT but not with 3G due to software issues in dongle and MR3420. TP-Link support is not great although they suggest the dongle is compatible with their router! Planning on testing with a TP-Link dongle - unfortunately doesn't yet support 4G.
Summary: I had a struggle getting my network up and running and found the range of this isn't as extensive as I'd wanted. Compared to my old BT hub it isn't as powerful. I use a range extender and I've had to compromise where things are positioned because of the lack of range. It is ok on a 15m line-of-site but didn't work through stud partition walls very well. I also tried a TP-Link extender and that was a disaster.
Summary: It arrived next day and was very well packaged. I removed it from the box, connected the power supply and my '3' dongle and switched it on. It worked! I made sure it was password protected and haven't touched it since. Reception throughout 2 floors is excellent.
Summary: I use it with [Huawei E3256 USB Mobile Broadband Modem] on the Three network. When I plugged in the dongle the router did not recognise it. To get it to recognise the dongle I when to the TP website and downloaded the latest firmware which I installed using a PC and the included Ethernet cable. Very simple and installation takes less than 1 minute. The router now recognises the dongle and had performed flawlessly.
