Summary: This router seems to do all that it claims to do. From the box it's pretty much plug and play, with the exception of setting a passcode. The instruction leaflet could be clearer, but this doesn't really amount to a problem, and I was up and running in a few minutes, including connecting a second remote router via one of the RJ45 sockets on the back. It handles 4 simultaneous users without any glitch, and will probably handle a good many more than that.
Summary: Always been a TP-Link fan. I brought a TP-Link 3G Modem previously (still working) and was stunned how great they work. This model works well, loads of settings for the router. The signal strength is works well. The only thing you have to be careful of, is the type of usb dongle you plug into it. Not all work!! I had to use an old dongle for this 3G router as the website did not have firmware that supported my dongle.
Summary: I initially bought the TL-MR3420 as I wanted to use 4G to access the internet from home (as MiFi can only connect a limited number of wireless devices (e.g. 10 devices with the Huawei E5372)). I needed a router that would enable me to connect over twenty devices and support MAC/IP reservation and port forwarding. when I received the MR3420, I was pleased to see that the HW version was 2.x and power plug was for the UK. Regarding the use of the MR3420.
Why can't all manufacturers have straightforward updating processes like Microsoft, Google

Summary: Not reliable for use with Windows 8/8.1 in its supplied form. The signal simply drops out after a few minutes when using a mobile broadband dongle. There might be a software/firmware update to help with this problem but the TP-Link website is incomprehensible. Why can't all manufacturers have straightforward updating processes like Microsoft, Google, Adobe etc.?
Good affordable solution for turning a 3G dongle into a home Wifi solution. Although there are better devices out there

Summary: A great device and worked well with my Three 3G Dongle. Sadly our internet connection would drop out and we had to repower the device multiple times. It also wouldn't work with the most recent dongle devices from Three. We wanted to upgrade to 4G but the dongle wouldn't work. It's a good and more importantly an affordable solution for those who don't have access to decent ADSL broadand.
This is a good product and it DOES work with the Huawei E367

Summary: This is a good product and it DOES work with the Huawei E367, however, it took me 3 hours of investigative googling to find out how to set it up. The instructions are adequate but i had a problem with the settings of my laptop to even get to the stage of following the instructions for the TP link router..........click network and sharing centre, then click manage network connections. Find your wireless connection icon, right click it and then click on properties.
Summary: I have a 4G Huawei USB dongle which gives me speeds of 25M+ when plugged directly into my laptop. Initially I was not able to connect using this router but once I updated to the latest firmware it connected ok. However, when I use the dongle in this router and connect over wi-fi the router can only provide speeds of between 1 and 5Mbps. I have just one device connected so there should be no difference in speeds between the direct connection and via the router.
Summary: You won't go wrong with this router. I use it to connect with 3 Broadband Internet using a dongle. No problem at all recognising the dongle and the 3 network by using it's internal database. I use both the ethernet ports and the WiFi and there are lots of excellent features included with this router which are not advertised so check out the full specs on the TP-Link website and other reviews for more details. For the price, you can't go wrong.
Summary: works fine with an older usb modem, recognised right away. if u have an unlocked usb modem let say vodafone and wanna use it O2 card in laptop wont work because u don't have the software which is using the modem, but with this u don't need the software, the router`s firmware will do it. My only problem was: default address is 192.168.0.1 (this for the newer model), works fine until u plug in the lan cable.
