Summary: Don't make the mistake I did, and think "I need a new router, so I'll order one." It wasn't until I sat down with the instruction book, and read the first step - "unplug your modem" that I realised what I need is a modem-router, and not what this is, a plain router.
Summary: I bought this to replace an earlier similar model whcih was also from Netgear and it is considerably faster. I am using it with a two part ADSL fibre install so plugging it into a modem. If you want to us as a wireless Access Point (AP) the parental controls WONT work.
Summary: I purchased this replacement power supply after my Netgear WNR2000 stopped working - given the cost of replacing the PSU compared to the cost of a new router I figured it was worth the gamble.
Summary: Works extremely well and it is very easy to set up. The packaging shows no support for windows 7 or 8 and the easy work around here is to not use the CD and manually change/set up the options needed via the admin page.
Summary: Cant praise the Netgear wiFi extender enough. Firstly Amazon were incredible delivered the item within 2 days. I have a Virgin media wireless Superhub which offers a good wireless signal in nearly all of my flat, however there is a flat spot which gived poor reception.
Summary: This router was supplied by my ISP when I upgraded my broadband connection to the 20MB "Fibre to the Cabinet" service. Previously I had been using a Belkin modem router that provided a good 811n wireless signal throughout the house from my office which is on the first floor.
Summary: I've been using this Router for over a year now, and I must admit, I have loved it for most of this time. Unlike both of my previous Belkin routers, this one just worked straightaway, and happily lets me use Wi-Fi with my Windows XP, 7, Apple Mac and iPod Touch.
