Summary: Have always used netgear routers without an issue and for a year or so had no issue with this hub. Plug and play, auto sensing worked fine. Mine is completly populated with printers, hard drives etc. Began to have a periodic connectivity issues which a power off/on seemed to sort out. But recently internet connectivity was really slow and assumed it was my provider.
Summary: Didn't last very long (3 years) but just drops to 100mb or disconnects instead of failing. Just bought another Netgear which works in place of this but thought my new hardware was faulty because of this flaky switch......everything should last longer than this.....when the new one fails no Netgear for me.....
Summary: Failed after 2 years. Seems to be consistent with other reviews. Prior to failure, seems to have worked well in my domestic network. No sockets to wall-mount and rather weird & bulky UK plug would be the other issues of note.
Summary: I fixed this in my loft (drilled screw holes in the mounting brackets). Connected it up to distribute my network around the house which included PC, Sky multiroom boxes and Blueray player. Just plugged it in and powered it up and it has been working ok since.
Two of these have silently failed at 14 to 18 months

Summary: I bought this product because I have used Netgear hubs since the 90s. No more. Two of these, one a replacement for the other, subtly failed. Speed to peripherals across the switch slowed by a factor of ten to fifty: packets were lost. The troublesopoting to narrow the problem to the switch took a couple of weeks. Did not attempt warranty replacement. Shall never buy another.
