  • Allocates wrong DHCP IP

    Connect via wireless and the IP on my iPad comes back with a totally wrong IP number such as 169.40.50.255!! But the correct IP should be like 192.168.0.6. Does the same on my PC! Tried flashing the bios on router and same problem. Never had this problem before with my Linksys router!!! So much for Netgear!! In the end I specified a fixed IP based on 192.168.0.50 and that solved the problem. So what's up with the DHCP part in the router?? Looks messed up and not assigning an automatic IP address. Possible big problem with this router!
