Summary: This rice cooker quickly cooks rice and steams vegetables in its metal insert. I put the raw ingredients in it about 45 minutes before I plan to eat and a healthy meal is ready without any fuss and bother to me. I like, too, the crusty bottom rice layer that I make when I add a small amount of olive oil to the rice before I plug it in.
Summary: I'm not a fancy user and I don't need complicated setting. I rinse my rice, put it in the cooker and click a button and I expect it to be done in a timely fashion. For those of you who like simple set up, you can't go wrong with this rice cooker. It's so easy to clean as well. If you want a rice cooker that has time setting, then this is not for you. The only thing is I wish I got a 5 cup one. Even though I only cook for myself I like to cook a lot of rice in advance.
Summary: I bought this based on everyone's good review but I am not happy with it. It cooks at way too high a temperature and therefore boils furiously, leaving a mess on the handles of the cooker and the counter top because the lid can't contain the moisture. Also because of the high temp you have to put in way more water than it calls for otherwise you will end up with crispy rice.
Summary: I want to give it four stars, but lately the power cord has been giving us grief. A perfect size for two people, I like that it takes up little space. I have been looking to replace the power cord, but I cannot find how. If anyone out there knows where I can purchase another I would much appreciate it. I hate to throw away an otherwise perfectly working machine just because the wire is compromised.
Summary: This rice cooker is perfect for someone looking to make rice for one or two people. I use it to cook rice for myself and it makes more than enough rice for two or three meals if I cook the maximum amount. I've never burned my rice or had any issues with the cooker. It's a great rice cooker. I don't know why you would spend a ton of money on a super fancy rice cooker when this one does the job just fine.
