Much like Resistance 2, Retribution is more than the sum of its parts. The single-player campaign may be linear and stagey, but it's also effortlessly fun and incredibly polished. The multiplayer doesn't contain many surprises, but it does a better job of matching the online modes of "proper" consoles better than most rivals in its genre. Annoyances are minor and fleeting in nature, and the game punches above its weight with a substantial and coherent feel that too many... Read more

Allowing the action to shine is what Resistance: Retribution does best. The slick controls perform admirably with only a few minor stumbles, letting you flex your impressive arsenal as you battle through hordes of fiendish enemies. The scope of your journey is a bit narrow, and Grayson may very well offend gamers with ties to France (or England, for that matter), but the excitement and intensity packed into Resistance: Retribution are undeniable. Multiplayer consists of the usual suspects including Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Containment and Assimilation. Each one is fun to play and a ranking system is included for the incentive to keep at it. Resistance: Retribution is a flawed, but fun shooter. If you're one of those gamers who love to hold the trigger down until your heart is content then it's well worth playing. Great big shapes on the horizon are so very rarely a good sign. Read more

pspResistance: Retribution on the PSP brings retribution to the palm of your hand.  Just like previous games in this epic series the game has twists, turns, and a ton of cool weaponsto play with.  Along with the great story of revenge the games multi-playertakes the cake at awesome.  This games weapons balance out greatly as all weapons have a special ability, some have shields, some charge up to revealdeadly blast of power, some shoot explosives, etc.  Also the... I've been a loyal PlayStation fan for ten years, but I have to admit that there lies a significant lack of games for Sony's consoles that hold the ability to keep a player intrigued through multiple installations (for example, Crash Bandicoot should have been put to pasture after "Wrath of Cortex"). But the blockbuster hit "Resistance: Fall of Man" was one title that absolutely floored me from the start. An incredible story, comfortable controls, chilling visual... Read more
