Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects on the PSP proves out to be better than its console counterpart. The storyline, though, remains the same but the main focus is the six flawed characters in New York causing damage and destruction. The game introduces three modes: the quick play, multiplayer and the core single player option, campaign mode. The game also offers a good addition of two exclusive characters: Captain America and Dr. Doom. Unlike the traditional fighting game, the game play is card based, with a total of 170 cards and using them to play through the campaign mode becomes essential later on. The characters are well animated and the graphics are also impressive. The sound is not, however, memorable as there is no voice work and the music doesn’t adds to the excitement of the game play and blends up to become background of the game. In the beginning, the game looks promising enough, however, due to certain retarding factors the game doesn't prove out to be an incredibly memorable adventure. One of the flaws is its characters which are not well balanced; some prove to be stronger than others. The card based system also isn’t very effective and, moreover, the game’s camera control at times interrupts the game play. Due to these reasons, the game can be rated as an average one.
