Video game reviews: Halo 3, Crush and Super Paper Mario
Reviewer: telegraph.co.uk29 September 2007Players navigate their way through a series of virtual landscapes by crushing the 3D view into 2D and back again. A truly original concept, funky black-and-white cut-scenes, and nifty in-game graphics make Crush both instantly addictive and really quite challenging – thinking outside of the (3D and 2D) box is required to beat the harder levels. Crush

Despite this admittedly minor annoyance, Crush is a rare beast and deserving of praise for the many things it gets so very, very right. There's a genuine sense of achievement and enjoyment when a seemingly impossible level suddenly clicks (or crushes) into place, and the confident way the game uses its central conceit as more than just a gimmick is undeniably reassuring and appealing. It suggests real thought and care has gone into optimising the experience for the pl... Read more
